Using a new head with different trigger for autolevel And now i get this error after i execute the G29 command, which didn't happen before.
I tried searching for it online, and more people have it but not quite the same. So honestly, i have no clue what could be causing this. I'm using the FL Sun Delta printer with printhead-triggered autolevel. Repetier software v2. Thanks in advance.

Somewhere in repetier there should be a thing called communication log, or gcode log etc and that will have your actual error in it.
You will need to locate that log and copy all, past to notepad, save and upload that notepad file so someone can assist you. Dreagle and mark tomlinson like this. Joined: Feb 21, Messages: 22, Likes Received: 7, Read your GCode terminal and find the actual error.
That error is the firmware telling you that another unnamed error has occurred. The terminal will have the error in it somewhere. Dreagle likes this. Hey guys, I've spent the last hours tweaking and changing things in the firmware. Apparently at least that's where i think it came from I hadn't implemented the part in which the probe is defined as being the tip of the extruder itself.
From there the printer took over and did the G29 without problem. I don't get the error anymore so can't copy it I apologize for asking your help, but thank you guys anyways for the fast response. It's nice to know that there is a place to go, if I'm stuck with a problem in the future.
I wish you two a lovely evening! Kind regards, Dreagle P.Please check the new article for Marlin 2 and BLTouch up to 3. This is the 1. The standard configuration file from Marlin distribution was carefully reviewed to include the latest Ender 3 specific settings from the official Creality firmware.
I made avaliable the 2.
The 2. I recommend the PlatformIO option for most of the users, once the software is downloaded, the firmware can be upgraded in less than 5 minutes. There are two ways to perform the automatic bed leveling, the first is before every print and the second is only when necessary. Based on my experience with the Ender 3, it's better to do an extremely precise slower bed leveling when necessary than a simpler one before every print.
This firmware configuration reflects this choice. The pre-compiled firmware is also available here. The upload command in Windows PowerShell should look like this:. After initializing the board with the new firmware don't forget to reconfigure the probe offsets running the following command from any serial terminal. Replace the default offset values in the command-5, 0 with the ones for your probe mount.
You mention both in the 2. Looking at the bulleted features listing on both pages, they seem very similar. Could you please give a listing of feature differences between the two?
Higher versions are stripped of the custom menus for bed leveling, animations, EEPROM feedback, status screen image, text scrolling in the status bar and in the SD card.
Works perfectly with 1. I downloaded the paid firmware from some very popular Youtube guy but that FW was literally crap. Yours is way better and easy to use. Autolevel is so much better despite it takes a little longer. Wish I found your website earlier. There were a few reasons I decided to do this:. After setting up the printer and running it for a few days, I decided to install the BLTouch automatic bed leveling probe.
In the weeks leading up to setting up the printer and the probe, I had read numerous articles and watched a number of videos on the subject, so I thought I was prepared for it.
The first step to installing the probe was printing out a mount for it. Thingiverse has a number of options. I settled on this mount as it was adjustable. After attaching the BLTouch, I had to run the extension wires through the sleeve that had the other wires. This was a little bit of a pain.New way to configure the BLTouch on the Ender 3 in 10 minutes or less
The only mistake I made here that bit me later on is that the extension cable became disconnected and the BLTouch failed to operate causing the nozzle to hit the build plate. The second lesson is to always make sure the BLTouch performs its self test when the printer powers up. After the wires were run, I had to attach them to the motherboard. The BLTouch has 2 connections; the first is done through a pin 27 connector and is just unplug the LCD cable, plug in the connector, plug in the LCD again and attach the 3 wires from the BLTouch making sure the orientation was correct by verifying the labeled pins were attached to the correct, color coded wires.
The second part of attaching to the motherboard was to replace the Z axis end stop. The extension cable I bought had a non-keyed connector that just plugged in. On my second poke at the motherboard due to troubleshooting the connector that came loose as I mentioned earlierI decided to just cut the wires on the Z axis end stop, solder on the extension cable and use some heat shrink tubing.
I had to make sure the white wire was towards the front and the black wire was towards the back. This was a much better connection and has less of a chance of coming close. After I buttoned up the motherboard, it was onto the firmware. Once I initially got the printer setup and running properly, I upgraded the firmware mostly to know that I had thermal runaway protection and had the latest changes. Compiling the firmware was straightforward and explained in various posts and videos.
Most of the posts talk about installing the initial firmware with a bootloader using an Arduino board. I used this guide which was easy to follow and perform the initial install. Over the course of a few days, I managed to pick the options I wanted for my firmware.
Unfortunately my Creality 1. Using the base Ender 3 Marlin 2.BLTouch is an auto leveling sensor for 3D Printers that can precisely measure the tilt of Bed surface. It could work with any kinds of bed materials, such as glasses, woods, metals, and so on. Main functions and controls of BLTouch are the same as usual auto bed leveling sensor, consists of RC servo and micro switch.
Thus, BLTouch can be applied on almost every board. BLTouch is fulfilled with simple structure and high precision by using progressively designed solenoid and hall sensor. BLTouch can be easily applied, since it has a small and simple structure. But assembled with the low quality 3D printer, we just get the value as 0.
It was the same BLTouch Actually, around 0. Comparison would be pointless if micro switch sensor for bed leveling does not include the retraction and deployment method. At Inductive Proximity Sensors, to calculate the sensing distance for other application conditions the following parameters, which affect the sensing distance, must be taken into account. On idle state, while the push-pin is whether pulled out or retracted, there are no any electric current flowing on solenoid.
Standby electric current in the whole device is below average of 15mA on working state. BLTouch is controlled by hall effect, providing high precision. Thus the bed material can be freely selected. BLTouch is a small, and technology-intensive device. Build size can be set larger than other existing auto bed. Most Board provides its own servo pin, so BLTouch can be used connected to one of those servo pins. As each servo pin has its own number, BLTouch will be controled with the servo pin number as following.
Please connect orange wire to the spare pin such as Endstops or Extensions pin e. If your control board does not provide Servo pin, please modify as following. When I send G29 to my printer the probe tries to probe off to the left of the bed.
Actual behavior: [Bed goes to X0 Y0 and crashed down with the probe to the left side of the bed. Probably I am just missing something? So I was able to find the settings to change everything, but now I send g28 and it homes, then i set the x offset to Problem in situation when you not read manual.
I did read the manual, I found these settings and adjusted them accordingly. It probes more to the left side of the bed than to the right. Good morning. In my environment, the probe moves down after the head moves to the X 0, Y 0 position. However, the defined positional relationship is not effective, and the probe descends outside the bed, so the head hits the head and the stepping motor slips.
Now, I am commenting out the definition below and defining it. Because the definition is not reflected, the cause was investigated. I feel that it is caused by other unknown definitions so far. I know I do not have the same board, but take a look at my configuration, and compare it may help you find an answer if you do find the answer please share it on this thread.
I then use the Z offset tuning parameter during a print to get the extruder in the best place possible which currently is Without knowing what holder you are using for the BLTOUCH or being in front of your actual machine and measuring with digital callipers where your BLTOUCH is in relation to the nozzle would be it would be hard to know what the correct offsets are for your setup.
The definition by define confirmed in this thread seems to be the same, but I will flush it with the archive setting and verify it.
It is unclear to me whether anyone is still waiting for responses in this issue. If there is any reason for this issue to remain open, I would appreciate a very brief description of the remaining issue, and I am more than willing to try to help. This is core functionality which I have tested a lot in the past week, so I would be surprised if it is not functional. Instead I use through octoprint bed visualizer or pronterface and type : G28 G29 T1 V4 the 4 is just to get as much info as possible in the the terminal. This is the vanilla version of Marlin Firmware 2.
The standard configuration file from Marlin distribution was carefully reviewed to include the latest Ender 3 specific settings from the official Creality firmware and from Antclabs.
Please note that this is not the version I recommend for 8-bit boards like the one used in the Ender 3. The most stable and feature rich version of the firmware for this architecture is the 1. Marlin 2. Anyway, if you want to try this you can be sure I did the best I could to configure it properly and fit the maximum amount of features possible. It was downloaded and installed more than times and I believe most of the users will find no problems with it.

Problem With BLTouch Sensor
For power users that rely on OctoPrint for managing the workflow I created this ultimate version of the Firmware that packs the maximum amount of features the printer can handle at the expense of the SD Card support. Recentemente adquiri uma placa V1. Utilizando um notebook "zerado" funcionou perfeitamente. However now I am tinkering with building my own versions of Marlin, but one thing that was in your build I do not know how to get back Das Maximum sind Bytes.
The link is in a previous comment. When i try to switch language there is not enough memory when compiling What can i do to free some memory?
Empty screen means you have a problem in the flashing process. See comments below for solutions When I set what I need I got only 0. After reflash to 1. How are you setting this offset? It only uses the Bltouch and no gamma endstops. The delta grid probing works fine. But I simply dont know how to home the Z axis. Usually it should Probe the middle of the bed and set this point to Z0 and then start probing the rest of the bed or am I wrong?
It always thinks that Z0 is the Position Z was in when I powerd the printer up. After that I can write my Z offset or not? Pin for gamma stepper direction, add '! All configuration is ignored if false extruder. Only P2. Pin to read min endstop, add a! Change to nc to prevent conflict. BLTouch Servo Settings switch.
Must be an odd number. You say you don't know how to probe the Z axis, but your file has the G30 so I'm not sure what the problem is precisely. Forum Thread.
